After looking at various suggestions for next years trip the committee has decided on an area not previously visited by the club for this event.
Accommodation has been found in Strathfillan between Crainlarich and Tyndrum. This gives easy access to a good number of Munros and Corbetts including Ben More and Ben Dorain. A good selection of lower level walks are available. In fact the West Highland Way passes our front door.
The accommodation will consist of a farmhouse sleeping 14 in 5 bedrooms with all mod cons. More space in the form of 4 bed cabins are available if demand is high. These are a short distance from the farmhouse.
Access is good, being on the A82 with those who favour rail travel being well provided for with Tyndrum (not a big place) having two separate lines and stations.
The costs will depend on numbers attending so if you are interested let Dick know as soon as possible.
I know that with summer coming (we hope) it may seem a bit early to be thinking of winter in Scotland but this is always a popular trip so bookings need to be got in early.
The proposed dates are Sat 23rd Feb to Sat 2nd March 2013.
