We recently received this invitation to join the Open University Mountaineering Society (OUMS) trip to Argentiere in August.
Here are the details from Sally Toll from OUMS. Please contact her directly (details below) if you are interested:
The Climbing Club I belong (OUMS) to has a few spaces left on the trip I am organising below. If you are interested then please contact me asap on sallytoll@hotmail.com
The price is for accommodation only and you would need to organise your ownflights/ train/ transport down.
I live near Geneva Airport and am able to take two people and my friend has another 2 spaces inher car. If you would like a lift from the airport then an early flight would be preferable and then we could getsome climbing in en route at La Frasse or La Fayet; nice warm up crags!!!!!

Argentiere 5th-12th August 2012
This stunning area of the Alps has much to offer in a tranquilsetting; past the Mont Blanc tunnel!
There is plenty of climbing locally and a short hop away, both single pitch and full day out multi-pitch mountain routes.
There are plenty of walking routes with stunning views across the Mont Blanc range, of all levels of difficulty.
There are, of course, opportunities for cycling, via ferrata and lifts are equipped to take bikes if you are into downhill cycling!
There is all the touristy stuff as well and, if the weather is a little damp, there is the option of visiting the Aosta valley, which is often bathed in sun!
The cost of the accommodation for the week will be £190. Adeposit of £50 will secure your place. In the past members have shared car hire and travel arrangements to make the trip costeffective. I am able to collect 2 people from Geneva airport. The chalet will take 14 comfortably.
Details of the La Croix chalet are found at http://www.elevated-leisure.com/Chalet_La_Croix.html.
If you would like to join us then please contact me on sallytoll@hotmail.com.
Also any further questions and I will be happy to help.
Details in the latest Cairn.
